Clywedog Open Day

Hosted by Clywedog Sailing Club and Staylittle Outdoor Centre

Come and join us at Clywedog Sailing Club Open Day on the beautiful Llyn Clywedog near Llanidloes in the heart of Wales for a fun day of water based activities and shore based fun.
There will be lots to do and see:
- Trips out across the lake in range of sailing boats, all with expert skippers
- Opportunities to “have a go” at sailing under the tutelage of qualified instructors
- Chance to take a canoe or kayak out for a paddle with our wonderful canoeing club
- Raft building with the crew from Staylittle
- Archery on the lake shore
- Short course lunchtime racing – come and see some of our best sailors battle it out
Or just sit back and relax at the most beautiful sailing venue in Wales
Food and drinks will be available all day with a lunchtime service of light refreshments
All surplus from the galley will be donated to the Welsh Air Ambulance and the RNLI
Activities start at 10:30 and continue till about 4pm
Sessions have to be booked on the day and will be allocated on a 1st come 1st served basis – we can accommodate a lot of people, but the day is always popular, so don’t leave it too late!
Make sure to bring a spare change of warm clothes including shoes and a towel – watersports can get wet!
We will be asking for a small donation when you sign up for a session. The proceeds will go to supporting our work with young sailors and the Sailability programme.

Everything we do will be weather dependant. We may have to curtail events if weather conditions deteriorate to a level we do not consider to be safe. Your safety is our prime concern.
Please come prepared to have fun – we will supply all the equipment
